Kissing Technique
by Debbie Van Gieson
Yes, there really is technique called the Kiss or Kissing Technique...it's quite simple to do and it's fun too! You need bold stamps and a background stamp (can be intricate). Instead of using markers or ink pads to ink an image, use a background stamp to apply your ink to the bold image.
You can also ink your bold image stamp with an ink pad and then use an uninked background stamp to remove ink, or a background stamp inked with another color to apply a different color of ink.
In the above sample, a K Monogram letter (also from Stampin' up!) is inked with the Certainly Celery Pad. Then the tri-flower stamp (uninked) is pressed onto the wet ink on the letter to remove the celery ink-when stamped, it leaves the letter image with the floral design! Clean the stamp each time before repeating. This sample used three backgrounds (two designs and one Monogram letter).
You'll want to have a library full of background stamps to experiment with this technique!
